Clubs & Societies at NITJ

Heartfulness Meditation organization has signed MoU with NITJ. This system includes Meditation, Cleaning and Prayer. It is governed by transmission called Pranahuti from heart to heart. It is open for all students, faculties and staff of the institute.

Club includes activities like plantation, expert talks on nature and environment, logo competition, art exhibition related to nature, etc. Activities like campaigning and making people aware of environment is conducted.

Society of Electrical Engineers and Developers (SEED) is a professional society that brings together individuals working in the field of electrical engineering. The society typically promotes the exchange of technical and scientific knowledge, and provides opportunities for professional development and networking. We aim to impact the industry, and provide support to our members through resources such as technical publications, conferences, and educational workshops. Team Daksh was originated by a clique of students who had the notion to form a team that would give the team members a pragmatic approach toward the automotive field. Apart from studying the curriculum taught in the college, the team has put in a lot of endeavors to fabricate the vehicle distinguishing our vehicle from other vehicles at national as well as international level. The team has been successful in promoting greener mobility as well as the need to shift to renewable sources of energy. The team has brought many laurels to the institute and is determined to continue it’s legacy.The number of renewable energy-based vehicles is going to rise exponentially in the coming years. We hope to be part of this change, and that"s why our goal is to participate in ESVC(Electric solar vehicle championship) 2023, organized by ISIE India. Through this competition, we hope to increase our technical competence in this non-conventional field.

Society of Mechanical Engineers, is more than what a typical event organizing team is. Being established in 1993 by some faculty members and students, it is now one of the leading chapters of ISME in North India. Our mission is to promote and enhance technical competency, better insight and professional well-being of the students inside the campus. We were recently involved with techNITi, the annual tech-fest of Dr. B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar.

At Cybernauts, members collaborate and engage in a range of activities and events that foster learning and development, including workshops, seminars, hackathons, and competitions. These events provide an opportunity for members to gain new skills, share knowledge and ideas, and build lasting connections with their peers and industry professionals.

SocCEr (Society of Civil Engineers) in collaboration with the Department of Civil Engineering - NIT Jalandhar provides a unique platform for all budding civil engineering students, creating an opportunity to network and showcase their talent. True to its motto of "Forever building strong foundations". At SocCEr, we are inquisitive about connecting and collaborating with students, educators and industry professionals to enhance the practical understanding and advanced applications of civil engineering.

Society for Progression of Instrumentation and Control Engineering (SPICE) is a society which was established in the department of Instrumentation and Control Engineering (ICE), Dr. B. R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar formed on December 1, 1994. The society is continuously working for the welfare of students of Instrumentation and Control Engineering. A number of events have been organized under this society such as expert lectures from industry, workshops on robotics, career guidance & industrial tours.

The seed for the Computer Society of India (CSI) was first sown in the year 1965 with a handful of IT enthusiasts who were a computer user group and felt the need to organize their activities. They also wanted to share their knowledge and exchange ideas on what they felt was a fast emerging sector. Today the CSI takes pride in being the largest and most professionally managed association of and for IT professionals in India. The purposes of the Society are scientific and educational directed towards the advancement of the theory and practice of computer science and IT.

SOBER is a Departmental Society of Department of Biotechnology, NIT Jalandhar. It organizes various events at techNITi and responsible for organizing Freshers and Farewell party.

The TexStyle Society was established in 1989. The main aim of the society is to reduce the gap between industrial requirement and student understanding. Society also aware the students about their growth opportunities and do career counselling. This society has organised number of event such as farewell, fresher party, cultural activates, sports activates, drawing, sketching competitions which all together work in the spot light of well being of textile society. The vision of the TexStyle Society is to be a cornerstone of excellence within the Textile Technology Department, serving as a catalyst for comprehensive educational development and industry integration. We aim to create a dynamic learning environment that bridges academia, industry, and societal needs, fostering innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration both at National and International level.

ChESS regularly organizes various events like group discussions and quiz competitions, Fresher's, Farewell etc.Chemical Engineering Students Society (ChESS) organizes technical events in TechNITI, an annual Techno Managerial fest of NIT, Jalandhar.

Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) is a national, professional, non-profit society registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1860. Being the only national organization of educators in the field of Engineering and Technology, ISTE effectively contributes in various missions of the Union Government. The strength of ISTE is the strong base it has in technical education institutions in the country. ISTE has an Executive Council at National level.

Doaba Regional Centre of Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers was established in the year 2002 with its office at the Department of Chemical Engineering, National Institute of Technology Jalandhar.
